If you’re in the process of planning a wedding, at some point or another you’ve probably considered having the wedding, or at least the reception, outdoors. Imagine, a first dance surrounded by all of your friends underneath a beautiful sunset or the stars as they come out at night. What could be more perfect? Of course, the more you considered this wonderful option, the more you’ve thought of the ways things can go wrong outdoors. What if it rains? Images of soaked dresses, ruined food, and grumpy guests flicker through your mind. What if it’s so windy it blows away the tables, or even the guests? What if it gets cold and everyone wants to go home, or so hot that the groomsmen are peeling off their shirts and the bridesmaids want to get out of their dresses? Do we need to have an alternative rain site? If we don’t use the rain site do we need to pay for it?

A well constructed wedding tent can save you from all of these worries and more, while giving you the outdoor wedding or reception of your dreams. Wedding tents come in all shapes and sizes, from small awnings perfect for covering the buffet tables and nothing more to huge structures which can cover an entire dance floor and dining room. What sort of tent you use depends on both the expected climate and time of year. A smaller tent in Phoenix works great for providing some shade for guests who get overheated in the sun, but you probably won’t need a tent big enough to keep the rain off of everyone. If you’re on the ocean you may want a tent with walls to keep the wind and sand out of your guests’ meals, while you may still want to have the dance floor out on the beach. If you’re planning a wedding in Seattle you’ll want a tent large enough to house all of your guests comfortably, so even if it pours you can continue to dance into the night.

Wedding tents allow for the best of both worlds. You can still have your dream wedding outside, but you can have a simple plan in place in case the weather turns sour. They’re also easy to put up and take down, and they can be decorated to fit any theme or color scheme to make your special day absolutely perfect.

Are you an outdoors lover? I find that less and less people I come into contact with like the great outdoors. What’s with this? A bout with Mother Nature is probably exactly what many city-goers need. It’s a wake-up call. You know, one of those experiences that make you realize that there’s more to this world than mere concrete and exhaust fumes. It’s a time to get back the primordial side of things. Step away from the urban jungle and into the real deal. After that first breath of fresh air and that calm silence hit you, you’ll certainly have a new love for nature. Of course then you will also need some decent supplies. After all, it’s not like you can tackle the big bad woods without the proper equipment. When it comes to camping, hiking, rock scaling, and mountain biking, there are some imperative tools of the trade. This brings me to 4 season tents.

Do you own any 4 season tents? You know, the ones that are suited for all levels of weather. I don’t care if you’re battling the summer heat and humidity, grappling with a nasty blizzard, or keeping out of a harsh thunderstorm; 4 season tents are what you need. I can recall back in the day when I used to head off on my own for a weekend in the woods. Of course this woods was on our own property, but it was an adventure nevertheless. I had my own camping supplies which included a good knife, a mummy bag, a two-man tent, canteen, and plenty of matches. Yep, you could say I was a regular Crocodile Dundee. I was always prepared to battle the forces of nature with a grin on my face. However, there was always one problem. It concerned my tent. We of course didn’t have the 4 season tents at that time. For some reason every time I would head off on a camping trip, I would get rained on at some point during the night. Now, this wasn’t a problem that couldn’t be dealt with. I slept well in my two-man tent, regardless of the precipitation. Although, it did bother me that if I touched the inside wall of my tent, it would begin to leak. What was the deal with that? Not exactly advanced you might say. Luckily for all today’s campers there are trusty 4 season tents to get the job done perfectly. Hop online and see what they’re all about. Find the absolute best deals on 4 season tents in cyberspace.

It seems that during certain times of the years there are more gatherings and parties to attend. Late spring and early summer tend to be prime times for parties due to graduations and weddings. This is a time of the year when the weather can be quite unpredictable. As a result many people get rental tents to set up for the parties. This is a nice option because the rental tents can provide protection from rain as well as the sun.

My nephew graduated this spring so my brother and sister-in-law were planning party for him. The party was planned as an open house late in the afternoon and through the evening on a Saturday in early June. My nephew wanted to have yard games that he and his friends could play. The plan was to have the food set up in the garage area along with some tables, but they needed additional seating that would be outside. They have a large deck that can accommodate several people, but there is no protection from the elements. My sister-in-law contacted a company that has rental tents. They had three sizes of rental tents to choose from. My sister-in-law rented the mid sized tent because it came with sides that could be zipped on. The company said that the policy with rental tents is that they can be picked up the day before the party; however they could not be set up overnight. This was to protect the rental tents from severe weather or vandalism during the night. The rental company is not opened on Sundays so the rental tents are returned on Monday. The rental company is located about 30 miles from my brother’s home, so they were glad that they could pick up the tent the day before. Rental tents are quite expensive, but they did not want to take the risk of not having one.

One of my nephew’s friends was having his graduation party on the evening before my nephew’s party. His mother called my sister-in-law asking if they could use the rented tent. There was a forecast for rain and the rental company was out of tents. The woman told my sister-in-law that they would go pick up the tent and pay for half the cost. This arrangement saved my sister-in-law time and money so she agreed.

On Saturday morning my nephew’s friend and his dad brought the rental tent over and had it assembled very quickly because they learned how to do it the day before. The day of the party was very warm. The shade that the tent offered was well worth the rental fee. Another family that was having a graduation party on Sunday asked if they could borrow the tent. They said they would share in the rental fee and would return the tent on Monday morning. My brother and sister-in-law agreed to this. They ended up having a great experience with rental tents. They had it delivered, returned and only had to pay a third of the cost. My sister-in-law was glad she had been the one to reserve the tent early.

Who’s up for camping? Yeah, that wonderful retreat to the wilderness can be a fine thing. Finally you can relax without all the noise and chaos that comes standard with the office and urban jungle. It’s time to re-discover Mother Nature and the soothing cadence of the birds and crickets. Ah, can’t you just smell that fresh mountain air? Okay, well you may have to actually go there first. Regardless, camping can be an incomparable and refreshing experience if done right. Now, I’m sure that virtually everyone has heard of camping during the summer or spring months, but what about winter camping? Have you ever given this unique adventure a shot? Maybe it’s time you took a chance.

I have always been a fan of winter camping. You see, I’m not a summer person myself. I consider 60s, T-shirt weather. My wife says it’s a high metabolism thing, but I always thought it was just because I’m a guy. Girls are the ones who typically get cold, right? I think guys sweat around 40 percent more than the softer sex. Anyway, winter camping is rather ideal if you think about it. Even if you do get chilly easily, you can dress for the occasion and have a great time. You see, with winter camping there’s a gargantuan benefit. I mean this bonus sells the whole deal. The insects are frozen and dead. What else could you ask for? No nasty ticks and mosquitoes gnawing at you while you’re lounging around the crackling camp fire. No ants all over your hotdog or burger. Winter camping is the bomb! Not to mention with the right tent and sleeping bag, you will sleep like a baby. That sticky summer heat won’t be around to keep you up all night, tossing and turning.

Have you ever been winter camping? Well, if you are looking for supplies for your first big adventure, then I know just the place to browse. It’s a nifty little land called cyberspace. The World-Wide-Web has all you need for a fun and exciting adventure in the bush. Acquire the right equipment for the perfect winter camping trip. Websites such as R.E.I. and Cabelas offer a massive selection of quality products for any and all outdoor adventures. Choose from a vast array of tents, sleeping bags, and camping grills. With the right supplies, your winter camping experience will make you anxious to return for a second one.

People worldwide who enjoy group camping favor large tents, as they allow sleeping room for many people as well as their equipment, and campgrounds everywhere are dotted with them. They are not utilized simply for camping purposes though; they have many other uses.

If you have ever been to a carnival or fair, surely you have seen many of them. Large tents used at these types of functions are generally brightly colored and topped with flags. Performers dazzle audiences under these large tents, and a three-ring circus just wouldn’t be the same if it weren’t under the “big top.” Since carnivals and fairs are only temporary attractions and tend to travel quite a bit, bigger tents are great choices due to the fact that they are movable.

These temporary structures are also utilized during times of need. A perfect example is the recent hurricane season that devastated so many homes. In areas that were so storm ravaged that mobile homes could not be brought in, large tents were set up by rescue workers to provide shelter for those who had been left homeless by the unrelenting storms. During this time, they were also used as makeshift medical facilities, where the sick and injured could go when access to an area hospital was impossible.

If you are planning a large family get together such as a reunion or wedding, a big tent can provide shade, shelter from unforeseen bad weather, and a place to set up the food tables. Many people planning these types of events find that large tents are an economical alternative to renting out an entire restaurant or reserving a country club for the night.

While they offer a world of advantages, there are also some disadvantages to consider. Large tents are unable to withstand severely abnormal weather conditions such as strong winds; they are impractical for long-term use and are not always able to provide much privacy. If none of these factors figure into your particular situation, then one would probably work great for your special event or family camping trip.

They can be rented at almost any equipment rental facility, as well as some larger party supply stores. If you instead wish to purchase one, a visit to a sporting goods retailer will present you with many options.

Whether you need one or several for a special occasion or annual family reunions, large tents are an economical and functional investment.

How you prepare for the winter getaway can make the difference between a wonderful experience and an uncomfortable memory. There are two main areas that need to be addressed. Choosing the right clothing and shelter can help you on your way to a great weekend of winter camping.

You probably know that you should dress in layers when embarking on such an adventure. Just about every school teacher and just about every mom will tell you that dressing in layers is a must during the cold season. Doing this will insure that your will be able to regulate your body temperature. You can remove layers when feeling warm and add them when you get a little chilly. Everyone knows this basic rule of winter camping.

Not everyone knows that there is a certain method of layering the clothes to maximize the effectiveness of the strategy when going winter camping. Begin with a bottom layer against your skin. This is usually long johns or something similar. The next layer is for insulation and usually consists of fleece. The outer layer should be waterproof and windproof to insure that you will be protected from the elements.

Avoid wearing cotton on your winter camping getaway. Cotton loses its insulating qualities very easily. When cotton gets wet, it gets cold. When it gets wet and cold so do you. The fabric takes a relatively long time to dry out as well. This is not the ideal material for outings in the frigid temperatures. Stick with fleece and wool on your winter camping trip for maximum warmth that lasts.

Your shoes are also a very important aspect of your winter camping outfit. Make sure that you choose waterproof boots or shoes. Most prefer plastic or leather treated with oil instead of regular leather or those that have Gore-tex linings. These shoes and boots may absorb water. That water will freeze in the cold temperatures leaving your feet cold and wet. This is a bad combination on your winter camping trip.

The other aspect that requires attention is your shelter. Some like to use three season tents but these may not hold up to cold temperatures. They are well-ventilated and winds can easily penetrate the fabric. You can opt for the three season tent if you are planning winter camping trip during a mild season.

Many of us enjoy getting away from it all. Pitching a tent in the woods or on a campground next to a roaring fire for roasting our diner on a stick sounds perfect at times. To enjoy these little breaks from reality, we must first invest in certain camping supplies to ensure our outdoor venture, a great one.

These days we have almost anything we can dream of when it comes to roughing it in the outdoors. Camping supplies range from 1-10 man tents, to showers we hang from a tree branch. This abundance of variety may make it difficult for a newbie camper to choose what’s a necessity and what’s a luxury. Most devoted campers always invest in a good tent. There are outdoor companies galore to offer such supplies. New aged tents hold up well in storms and bad weather conditions, depending on what you’re willing to spend.

Some of the more popular camping supplies concern cooking and sleeping. After all, no one wants to be deprived of a well-cooked meal while lounging away from home, and we all want to get a goodnight’s sleep. Sleeping bags can run from 30-300 dollars, depending on your preference and need. Online sites like Greatoutdoorsdepot.com offer a great variety of bags to fit anyone’s price range. Other numerous websites offer plenty as well. It all depends on what you’re looking for.

Being an outdoor lover myself, I have my own beliefs in what’s necessary to make any camping trip enjoyable. Certain camping supplies include; a well-made tent that can hold up in strong wind and rain, a nice goose-down mummy bag to ensure a warm night when it’s below freezing, and a high-end lighter, which may run around 40 dollars or so. The benefit of having a good lighter is priceless in my opinion. The way they’re made now days, 80-mile an hour winds aren’t an issue.

When packing food for a camping trip, you should always pack extra, just in case; especially if you are camping in a deserted area that may contain roaming wildlife. Remember to always store away all food, if possible, in coolers where it doesn’t smell. You don’t want animals to come looking in the middle of the night. All in all, camping supplies generally depend on the need and comfort levels of the camper. We all prefer different things and have things we can’t live without. Whatever your wish list may consist of, you won’t have any trouble finding it on the world-wide-web.

One of the most important decisions for any camper or backpacker is “what tent do I buy?” Though the answer may not matter much in fine weather, when it starts to pour it may mean the difference between a cozy night in your sleeping bag and a miserable, drenched evening. What tent is right for you depends on how you’ll be planning on using the tent. Similarly, your activities also dictate what aspects of the tent are most important to you. If you’re backpacking on a long trip, then weight may be a primary concern, but if you’re car camping then it’s comfort and space, not weight, which will help you find the tent that’s right for you.

If you’re backpacking, then heavy, base camp style tents will do nothing but weigh you down. A more standard, backpacker’s tent will be more suitable. Another choice still remains; do you want a 3 season tent or a 4 season tent? Generally, 4 season tents are built to withstand the worst mother nature has to offer; torrential rain, heavy snow, and howling winds. They have extra poles and tie downs to make the tent as sturdy as possible. 4 season tents are often dome-shaped in order to eliminate any flat spaces where snow could settle. The trade-off to all of this security is that 4 season tents are often heavier and bulkier than their 3 season brethren.

3 season tents are often similar to 4 season tents in general design, but they generally have fewer poles and are slightly less sturdy. However, they weigh less and pack lighter. They generally handle wind and rain quite well, but they’re not designed to handle heavy snowfall. A few inches won’t bother them by any means, but they are unlikely to stand up under heavy snow and are therefore not a good choice for winter camping.

Convertible tents offer a compromise between 3 season tent weight and 4 season tent security; they have poles and/or flaps that can be added in the winter and removed in spring, summer, and fall, allowing you to use the same tent in the summer than stood up to the twenty inch snow in the winter, without carrying the weight of the extra flap and poles. Though 3 season tents can handle some winter weather and 4 season tents work just fine in the summer, convertible tents can be the perfect compromise for the backpacker who wants to hike year-round but can only afford to purchase one tent.
